For the Vitra Design Museum, we developed a self-sufficient media control system that combines the numerous media technology artefacts, ranging from CRT screens to modern industrial robots, into one control system. All exhibits are controlled regardless of which museum the exhibition is set up in and how the technical conditions are situated on site. For maximum flexibility and security, the system is designed in such a way that the exhibition always brings its own infrastructure with it and, in addition, it is possible for technicians to monitor the components remotely and detect errors or failures at an early stage - this helps the museum team to save time and thus costs in maintenance on a daily basis. The exhibition will move from the Vitra Design Museum to the MAK Vienna for the time being and then to other European and American museums.
